In the Premier Division it was the Tigers who emerged victorious from the all Willenhall encounter with goals from Taylor, Lee and Corbett helping them beat stable mates Willenhall Town Swifts with Plimmer replying for the hosts while goals from Lines, Gillett, Brosnan and Rowley helped newcomers Trysull Tigers beat Parkes Hall with Allen replying for the visitors. A brace from Grubb and a goal from Green helped Wolverhampton DC beat Beechdale Swifts while a brace from Jackson and a goal from Brindley helped Windsor F.C. beat Tipton Olympic with Tofa replying. Finchfield and Villiers Tigers shared the spoils in a six goal thriller with Barner, Prior and Komenski on the score sheet for Finchfield and Roberts, Stansford and Aston on target for the Tigers while it was honours even when Carlisle Swifts entertained Bentley Youth with Minton netting for the Swifts. In the First Division Bustleholme 2000 recorded victory in their first ever game Bilston League game against Featherstone RWB. However, Bustleholme struggled to cope with an eager Featherstone who had the better of the first
20 minutes. Featherstone played some good direct football, well led from the front by Chisholm. Featherstone got what they deserved and went one up with a well taken Direct Free kick from 25yds by Kenyon. Bustleholme could have equalised when, on one of the only few occasions they played the ball through, Watkis found himself clear, only to hit the crossbar with the Featherstone keeper well beaten. Bustleholme started to play a little better, and were awarded a Free Kick some 20yards from goal and Whitehouse struck an unstoppable shot to level the scores just before the break. The second Half saw Bustleholme start to play a lot better and they began to compete in the midfield and use the flanks to great effect. Watkis was moved to right wing and proved to be a thorn in the Featherstone’s defence, eventually after a period of good pressing Bustleholme took the lead with a goal by Gardner. Not long after, following good work by Lea and Watkis, Gardner was on hand to tap in his second. Bustleholme were on top at this stage, however, Featherstone to their credit kept battling
and following one of the few times they breached the Bustleholme defence in the second half, they scored their second goal, a good finish into the corner by Chisholm, who thoroughly deserved his reward for a fine display. It looked set up for a nervous last few minutes for Bustleholme; however, Watkis restored their two goal advantage from 12yards. A brace from Shaqiri and a strike from Wood helped Ashbourne Raiders beat Wednesbury Inter Athletic while a brace from Northall and goals from Reynolds and Roberts helped F.C. Perton to victory at Springvale with Carter, Allen and Bhandal replying and an eight goal thriller saw Stone Cross and Great Bridge share the spoils with Watson, with a hat trick, and Nelson on target for Stone Cross and Dixon, with a brace, Hinchcliff and Harrison netting for Great Bridge. In the Second Division Bednarozyk bagged five as New Invention beat Wood Green United with goals from Hollihead, Virk, Dovey, Hawkins and Walsh completing the scoring with Rose, Wall and Aldridge replying for the hosts while a brace each from Tilsley, James and Walker
and goals from Glynn and Guy helped F.C. Strollers beat Darlaston Town. Dixon and Mills were on the mark as Parkfields Dragons beat Sedgley White Lions with Lucas replying while Penn Rovers beat Punjab United 6-4 and it was all square when Woodsetton visited Park Hill Boys with Tonks, with a hat trick, and Taylor on target for Park Hill and Harris and Halford with a brace each netting for Woodsetton.

Wolverhampton Development had the majority of constructive play during the first period as they battled to make an impression in their first round Premier Division Cup tie with Bentley Youth. Although they had opportunities to go ahead during the first 20 minutes it was the 28th minute that Grubb gave them the lead from the penalty spot. The Wolves extended their lead just after the break when Kelly raced on to a through ball and lobbed the advancing keeper. Within two minutes the home team were unlucky not to increase the lead when a lob from Green was tipped over by the visiting keeper but within three he found the net to give the Wolves a three goal cushion and further goals from Taylor and Kelly ensured the Wolves progression to the next round. Tipton Olympic needed extra time before they progressed to the second round at the expense of Willenhall Town Tigers. Whitehouse, with a brace, Telfer, Lovell and Latham wee on target for Tipton with Nicholls, with a brace, Gibson and Pitt replying for the Tigers. The Tigers stable mates Willenhall Town Swifts edged through to the next round with an odd goal victory at Beechdale Swifts courtesy of goals from Hale and Plimmer with Stanton
netting or Beechdale while Trysull Tigers progressed to the second round with a 4-1 victory at Finchfield. In the First Division Cup goals from Dunn, Carter and Bhandal helped Springvale to victory at Great Bridge with Dixon netting both goals in reply while a hat trick from Wood and a brace from Webb helped Ashbourne Raiders beat F.C. Perton with Clift and Northall replying. In the Second Division Cup four goals from Halford, a brace from Sharpe and goals from Feeney and Harris helped Woodsetton to victory at Sedgley White Lions while a thrilling encounter saw Darlaston Town progress with an odd goal victory over Penn Rovers. Williams netted four, Morris a brace for Darlaston with Wright also on target while Davies bagged four and Webb a brace for Penn. In the Premier Division a hat trick from Aston, a brace from Southall and a strike from Abraham helped Villiers Tigers maintain their unbeaten record with a victory over Carlisle Swifts while five goals from Allen and a brace apiece from Foster and Hodgetts helped Parkes Hall beat Windsor with Brindley and Campbell replying. In the First Division a "true" local derby in every sense of the word between Stone Cross and Bustleholme 2000 saw the.
hosts, Stone Cross, start the brighter and they deservedly went ahead after 10mins, with a good finish by the hard working Saxon. Bustleholme gradually played their way into the game and drew level with an excellent finish by Whitehouse from some 18yds. Stone Cross came back strongly and although Bustleholme’s keeper, Waters, made two great saves in quick succession, the ball dropped to the feet of the Stone Cross striker, Nelson, who finished from 6yds. Bustleholme started to match Stone Cross and began to win more possession in midfield thanks to the hardworking Lea and Johnson and they equalised with a poacher’s goal by Gardner following a defensive mix-up, and following an excellent solo run and finish by Watkis, Bustleholme led at half time 2-3. The second half saw the visitors gradually take control of the match and they went further ahead after 10mins with a brave headed goal by Whitehouse. Bustleholme’s passing game started to exert more pressure on Stone Cross, and following good link up from Lea, Dixon and Gardner, it finally told with an unfortunate own goal by a Stone Cross defender. Although Stone Cross never stopped competing, the game was put beyond them by a
quality strike from 25yds by Watkis. In an equally tight game between Warstones and Featherstone the visitors, Featherstone took the lead early in the first half through Stanley and looked set to pick up their first league points of the season until a late goal rush from Warstones saw them take all three points with goals from Brown, Smith, Jinman and Fuala while a hat trick from Jones and goals from Howell and Burke helped Wednesbury Inter to victory at Perton and Codsall with Lynch, Mable and Thorpe netting for the hosts. In the Second Division a hat trick apiece from Walker and Homer helped F.C. Strollers make it two wins out of two with a victory at New Invention. Walsh netted all three goals in reply for the hosts while a brace from Tonks helped Park Hill maintain their unbeaten record with a victory over Parkfields Dragons with Webster on target for the visitors.

In the David Taylor Cup a hat trick from Sharp helped second division Woodsetton to a narrow victory at first division F.C. Perton with Clift and Northall replying while an entertaining game saw Premier Division Wolverhampton Development taken to extra time by an impressive display from first division Great Bridge Youth. The Wolves went two goals down to the visitors in the first eight minutes with Harrison doing the damage but pulled lone back with a Cornfield shot and drew level just on half time through a Grubb penalty. Midway through the second half Great Bridge regained their lead when Harrison completed his hat trick and a cup upset looked on the cards until Green hit a dramatic equaliser from 6 yards in the last minute of normal time. In the early stages of extra time Kelly tapped home the winner for the Wolves. Four goals from Purdie and one apiece from Levin, Rawlins and Ciseteir helped premiership Finchfield beat second division Penn Rovers with Davis bagging a hat trick for the visitors while in the all premiership tie Brindley bagged the all important goal as
Windsor beat Beechdale Swifts. Goals from Barnett, Dickin, Timmins, Watmann, Cunningham and Plimmer helped premiership Willenhall Town Swifts beat second division F.C. Strollers while in the all first division tie goals from Kenyon, Stanley and Chisholme helped Featherstone beat Stone Cross with Watson netting or the hosts and it took a penalty shoot out to separate Park Hill Boys and Sedgley White Lions and it was Park Hill who progressed to the next round after extra time had ended all square with Tonks netting for Park Hill and Smith for Sedgley. An extremely hard fought cup-tie saw First Division high flyers Bustleholme struggling to play their normal passing game against a competitive New Invention from the second division. New Invention had their chances in the opening 15 minutes and put the Bustleholme defence under a lot of pressure. However, it was the visitors who went ahead after 20 minutes with an unstoppable shot from 18yds by Whitehouse following excellent work from Lea in the middle of the park. The game went from one end to the other, with both teams
missing chances and both teams scrapping for the upper hand. Whitehouse then had a goal disallowed following an excellent run and cross by Watkis, but he made amends just before half time when he latched on to a forward pass from Johnson to lobbed the keeper to give Bustleholme a two goal cushion. The second half saw more pressure from New Invention, and eventually there efforts were rewarded with goals from Hawkins and Walsh levelling the tie for the hard working hosts. The game could have swung either way but Watkis, who worked tirelessly, received the ball on the right wing and beat three players to take the tie for Bustleholme. A brace from Moore and goals from Allan, Hancock, O'Dell and Wooley helped premiership Carlisle Swifts beat second division Parkfields Dragons with Dickson, Mills and Simms replying while premier division Tipton Olympic beat second division Punjab United with the odd goal in five and in the all first division tie goals from Jones and Langley helped Wednesbury Inter to victory at Springvale Allen replying. In the South Staffs Junior Charity Cup Bustleholme 2000 had a tremendous start to their cup-tie with Kinver Colts, scoring within the first 2 minutes, and this set the pattern for the rest of the game. Although Kinver Colts, to their credit, competed in all areas of the park, they had no answer to Bustleholme’s quick and decisive passing game, with Watkis having a tremendous influence in all Bustleholme’s good work. On the rare occasions that Kinver threatened, they found Johnson, Neville, Lea and Cottam in great form at the back and Bustleholme went into the break with a commanding 5-0 lead. The second half saw a spirited display by the lads from Kinver, but ultimately Bustleholme ran out deserved winners by adding a further 4 goals. Watkis netted a well deserved hat trick while Gardner and Johnson bagged two goals apiece and Young netted from close range while the hard working Lea got his just rewards, scoring his first ever goal for Bustleholme. A special mention for one of our young referees, Adam Foster, who had a tremendous game in the middle, handling the proceedings with
maturity and common sense, he will undoubtedly be an asset to the Bilston League. In the First Division a hat trick from Watson helped leaders Stone Cross beat Featherstone R.W.B. with Hunt replying while Bustleholme 2000 returned to league duty against Wednesbury Inter Athletic in what proved to be an excellent game with both teams showing total commitment. Inter started the brighter, and with 2000 struggling to play their normal passing game on the small pitch, Inter tried to force an early advantage.
However, with the 2000 defence well marshalled by the excellent Neville, for all their endeavour Inter were restricted to long range efforts and free kicks. Gradually 2000 began to compete and started to put pressure on the Inter defence and on 25 minutes, following some good approach work by Watkis and Ricardo Johnson, the excellent Inter keeper was beaten by a typical poacher’s goal with Levi Goodwin slotting in from close range. The second half  saw 2000 gradually start to get on top, however, they struggled to breach a well drilled Inter defence, with the hard working Mendes standing out. With 20 minutes remaining a tactical switch was made by Bustleholme and on 55minutes it paid dividends, following good work by the industrious Watkis who caused hesitation in the Inter defence, Remmel Johnson was on hand to score his first goal for the Club from close range. To their credit Inter continued to push forward and with only 5minutes remaining, the 2000 Keeper Alex Waters, made the save of the Match pushing a stinging 20yard drive over the crossbar at full stretch to enable
Bustleholme to maintain their 100% record.
