| The new season got underway in bright sunshine and a tremendous atmosphere of help and co-operation. This season each league plays back-to-back matches, with the South Division being the first to kick off. Wednesfield Wolves immediately made their mark on the division with an 8 – 0 victory over Coopers Casuals. Jack Highfield was Wednesfield’s hat trick hero, with Jake Pain and Jonathon Brown adding a brace each, with Luke Bird also on target. Wednesfield only had one match to play, but the other success story in the division looks like being Finchfield Colts, with a 6 – 0 win over Ashbourne Raiders Olympic, followed up with a 3 – 0 win over Wolverhampton DC Panthers. Could Finchfield have a regular strike force, as all nine goals were shared between Charles Besenyei, Mark Giles and Sam Astley. Charles knocked in a hat trick in the first match, with Mark adding two more. All three scored one eac in the second game. Warstones Wanderers Lions also came out of the day as double winners, with a 2 – 1 victory over New Park Village, following it up with a 4 – 1 victory | ||||
| over Coopers Casuals. Matthew
James Bryan scored in both matches, with Matthew Birch hitting a brace
against Coopers. Luke Mason and Harvey Webb added one each. New Park Village,
having suffered a narrow defeat in their first match came back to record a 2
– 0 victory over Ashbourne Olympic, with goals from Deandre Gardner and
Mitchell Griffiths.In the West Division it was the other Wednesfield team,
Colts, who made the biggest opening day impact as they ran out 7 – 0 winners
over Coven Colts, and then followed that up with a 5 – 0 victory over
Prestwood Rangers. Callum Wood scored a hat trick in both matches, with his
third against Coven being one of the best seen in the league for many years.
Wednesfield’s feay of scoring 12 goals was nearly matched by Warstones
Wanderers North, who ran outn 5 – 1 winners in both their matches. Jordan
Bastable scored a brace against FC Perton Pumas, and then went on to repeat
that against Coven Colts. None of the other teams managed a double, although
Image Wheels took four points, following up a goaless draw against Prestwood
with a 2 – 0 win over league newcomers Dudley Town.In the East Division no
team managed to take |
||||
| maximum points from their opening day matches. Smethwick Sikh Temple had the best result of the day, when they ran out 5 – 1 winners against Coven Pumas. Two goals each from Karmrhys Clair and Gavandeep Sundar and one from Gobinder Moore got their campaign off to a fine start.. Their second match saw a draw with All Saints, who had earlier narrowly beaten Wolverhampton DC Pumas 1 – 0. It wasn’t to be Pumas’ day as they then went down 1 – 4 to Finchfield Tigers, with Liam Asbury hitting the target twice and solo efforts from Jason Castree and Chris Ryan. Finchfield’s three points followed a 1 – 1 draw with Perton and Codsall, who had then gone on to an equal share of a six goal thriller with FC Perton. | ||||

| South Division On a day when there were fewer matches, the early league leaders Warstones Wanderers Lions and Finchfield North both maintained their hundred percent records to stay ahead of the pack. Warstones recorded a 4 – 0 victory over a young Coopers Casuals teams, with goals from Alex Birch, Matthew Ryan, Rhys Owen and Jordan Turner. A little later goals from Tom Jones, Sam Astley and Luke Jones saw Finchfield gain a 3 – 1 win over Wednesfield Wolves, whose only goal came from Jake Palin. Coopers lost their second game to Ashbourne Raiders 1 – 2, but the scoreline reflects their growing confidence. Ashbournes’ goals came from Ben Taylor and Adam Nightingale, with Daniel Page replying for Coopers. Meanwhile New Park Village moved up to third place with a 2 -1 win over Ashbourne – Mitchell Griffiths and Deandre Gardner on target and Jayden McCalla replying – as previously third-placed Wednesfield Wolves went down 3 – 1 to Finchfield Colts. |
||||
| West Division What a difference a week makes !!!!! Last week saw Coven United losing 1 – 5 to Warstones Wanderers North, and this week saw them winning the reverse fixture 3 – 1, with goals from Jon Pierre Jones, Daniel Farr and James Ireson. Hussain Raza scored for Warstones. Coven’s success continued with a 4 – 1 victory over Ashbourne Raiders. Charlie Mackleworth scored twice, with Jon Pierre Jones and Kieran Hollingsworth adding one each. Luke Mitchell got Ashbourne’s goal. Coven’s two victories took them from the foot of the table to fifth place, with Ashbourne holding fourth as they ran out 2 – 0 winners over Perton Pumas with goals from Luke Mitchell and Owen Bayliss. Willenhall Colts look like a team worth watching as they won both their fixtures today – their first matches of the season. A 1 – 0 victory over Dudley Town, with Kieron Matthews on target, was followed up with a 6 – 0 win against Perton Pumas. Cameron Moore hit a hat trick, with Jaseen Matthews, Kieron Matthews and Joe Stanley chipping in with one apiece. These wins move Willenhall to third place on goal |
||||
| difference, so it’s a really good dtart for them. But Wednesfield Colts still look like the team to fear as they added two more convincing wins to their 100% record. A brace each from Nyle Bernard and Callum Wood and one from Kaine Peace saw them cruise to a 5 – 1 win over Prestwood Rangers, for whom Adam Cullium scored, and then follow up with a 2 – 0 win over Dudley Town, with Callum Terry hitting both goals. | ||||
| East Division Smethwick Sikh Temple, All Saints and Finchfield Tigers started the day as joint leaders, and Smethwick and All Saints kept it that way with a goaless draw, while Finchfield went down to a 0 – 3 defeat to Willenhall Reds, playing their first match of the season. Reds’ had a hat trick hero in Charlie Hemmings, who then went on to score two more as Reds carried on with a 5 – 0 win ove FC Perton. Dushannon Deans, Jack Wooldridge and Luke Smith added the other three goals. However, it is Perton and Codsall who end the day at the top of the table. Thomas Smith scored twice in their 2 – 1 victory over FC Perton, with Ricardo Samuels netting for Perton, and then followed up with a 6 – 0 victory over Coven Pumas. Highlight of the day was the FIVE goals scored in this game by Jack Krishnani, with one from Paul Griffiths. All Saints and Smethwick Sikh temple followed their own draw with victories over Warstones Wolves and Finchfield Tigers respectively. Wolves, playing their first matches of the season, had started their campaign well with Tyler White and Glyn Sheldon scoring in a 2 – 0 victory over Coven Pumas. |

| South Division - Three teams now top the table, separated only by goal difference. New Park Village are top of the tree following two decisive victories, scoring a total of nine goals. A 4 – 0 win over the youngsters of Coopers Casuals was followed up with a 5 – 1 victory over Wolverhampton DC Panthers. Deandre Gardner was the in-form striker, getting a brace in the first match and improving on that with a hat trick in the second. Lyndon Harris Dixon got one in each match and goals also came from Rowan Davies and Khnellem Russell. Finchfield Colts and Warstones Wanderers Lions both only had one game each, but kept up the pressure at the top with Finchfield running out 3 – 0 winners against Ashbourne Raiders Olympic, and Warstones getting a 4 – 1 victory over Wolverhampton DC Panthers. Alex Birch (2), Luke Mason and Jordan Turner scored for Warstones while Mark Giles (2) and Sam Astley were on target for Finchfield. So NPV head the table on goal difference but the other two teams have a game in hand. Exciting times ahead !!!!!! | ||||
| West Division - This was a good day for the teams at the bottom of the table. Dudley Town, who had lost all their previous matches without scoring a single goal, at last got off the mark with James Williams scoring the only goal to give Dudley three points against Ashbourne Raiders. Just one point above them at the start of the day were Prestwood Rangers, but they beat Dudley 2 – 1 in their first match, with goals from Sam Edge and Adam Cullum, with Sam again on target, along with Michael Magee, in their 2 – 1 victory over Coven Colts. At the other end of the table table-toppers Wednesfield Colts had no matches, and second and third placed Warstones Wanderers North and Willenhall Town Colts faced each other. Willenhall, unbeaten in their first two matches this season ran out 2 – 1 winners, with goals from Kieron Matthews and Edward Maybury. Earlier Warstones had had TWO hat trick heroes in Malachi Morgan and James Bastable, as they ran out 6 – 0 winners over Image Wheels. Willenhall had also run out winners by 2 – 0 over Ashbourne Raiders, with goals from Edward Marbury | ||||
| and Cameron Moore. These results see the league positions as they were at the start of the day, with three teams on twelve points – although Warstones have played two games more than Wednesfield and Willenhall, both of whom have 100% records. | ||||
| East Division - What a day for
Willenhall Town Reds as they rocketed to the top of the table – scoring 14
goals and conceding none in the process !!!! First victims of the day were
league leaders Perton and Codsall, who fond themselves on the wrong end of an
8 – 0 defeat. Brett Holyhead got two, with Dushannon Deans, Lewis Cooper,
Callum Johnson and Luke Smith adding one each, as well as a couple of own
goals. After that success the Reds went on to a 6 – 0 victory over Warstones
Wanderers Wolves, this time the goals coming from Lewis Cooper (2), Aaron
Adams (2), Luke Smith and Charlie Hemmings. So now the Reds have won all
their games so far, and look like taking some stopping. Third placed All
Saints could only manage a point from their two games after going down 1 – 0
to Finchfield Tigers, but Tigers themselves then went down 0 – 2 to Peron and
Codsall, a result which keeps P and C in second place. Wolverhampton DC Pumas
picked up their first points of the season with a convincing 4 – 0 win over
Warstones Wanderers Wolves, with goals from John Paskin (2), |
||||
| Leon Rattu and Joseph Dallow.
Coven Pumas also picked up their first point in a 3 – 3 draw with All Saints.
Jordan Jones scopred twice and Reece Milner got one for Coven, while Corey
Jackson also hit two and Jordan Macintosh one for All Saints. But jumping
furthest up the table are FC Perton, who added six points to their total with
a 2 – 0 win over Coven Pumas, in which Mitchell Vickers and Ricardo Samuels,
and then doubled their tally with a 4 – 1 win over Wolverhampton DC Pumas.
David Edwards scored twice, with Ricardo Samuels and Adam Bealey adding one
apiece. John Paskin got the DC goal. This division looks like being really
tight, with the prospect of some great competition to come. |

| South Division - A disappointing day for Coopers Casuals, who lost both their two matches heavily, going down 0-10 to both Finchfield Colts and Wednesfield Wolves. But the players should remember that Finchfield are top of the table and haven’t dropped a point all season, while the Coopers players are the youngest team in the league, so they really shouldn’t feel too downhearted. Finchfield’s match was their only one today, and the result saw them pull away from rivals New Park Village, who didn’t play. Third placed Warstones Lions stay in the same place, despite losing both their matches by a 0–4 score line but Wednesfield Wolves are now only three points behind, with 2 matches in hand. Strangely enough, with all those goals being scored, there was only one hat trick – Giles hitting three for Finchfield against Coopers, although Jones and Besenyei (Finchfield), Irving (twice) (Ashbourne Raiders), and Brown, Bird (twice) and Watkins (Wednesfield Wolves) all managed a brace. | ||||
| West Division - The top of the division gets tighter as leaders Wednesfield Colts dropped their first points of theseason, going down 0–2 to Warstones Wanderers North. In one of the best matches of the season two goals from Bastable were enough to see Warstones replace Wednesfield at the top of the table. Both teams are to be congratulated on the sportsmanship they showed before, during and after the game. Wednesfield drop down to third in the table as Willenhall Town Colts picked up six points, with 1–0 victories over Prestwood Rangers and Dudley Town. Matthews and Glasby got the goals which saw Willenhall move to second spot, with only goal difference separating them from Warstones, although both Willenhall and Wednesfield have games in hand on the league leaders. Image Wheels fought out a good 1-1 draw against Prestwood Rangers and then picked up three more points in a 1–0 win over Ashbourne Raiders, Howell scoring for Image Wheels. Wednesfield got back into winning ways, with Hough and Wood on target in the 2–0 win over Coven United, who themselves had | ||||
| earlier recorded a 4–0 victory over Dudley Town. Jones got two goals with Macleworth and Farr adding one each. East Division - Willenhall Town Reds became the only team in any division with a 100% record as they raced to a 10–0 victory over 3rd placed All | ||||
| East Division - Willenhall Town Reds became the only team in any division with a 100% record as they raced to a 10–0 victory over 3rd placed All Saints Juniors, and followed that up with a 3–0 against Finchfield Tigers. Hat tricks from Hemmings and Smith, a brace from Cooper and solo efforts from Deans and Holyhead demonstrated Reds’ dominance Johnson, Hemmings and Adams were on target against Finchfield. Second-place Perton and Codsall kept up the pressure with two victories. A 1–0 win over Wolverhampton DC Pumas was followed up with a 4-1 victory over Warstones Wanderers Wolves, with Griffiths scoring the only goal in the first match and Kriskinans (2), Smith, and Bishop on target in the second game. Caddick scored for Warstones. However the team to watch is Smethwick Sikh Temple, who followed up a 5–0 win over Warstones with a 4–0 victory over Coven, with goals from Clair (2), Gill and Sunder. These results move Smethwick up to third in the league, three points behind Perton and Codsall but with two matches in hand. | ||||

| South Division - The race for the top places is really hotting up on a day which brought the top two teams together. Second placed New Park Village had started the day with 5 – 0 win over Coopers Casuals, where Deandre Gardner was again on target twice, with Khnellem Russell, Lyndon Harris-Dixon and Mitchell Griffiths adding one each. The victory put them on level points with Finchfield Colts, who had only one match – against NPV. In an excellent table topping-game the score was inevitably a 1 – 1 draw, with the regular goal scorers, Deandre Gardner and Sam Astley scoring for their respective teams. Finchfield stay top on goal difference, but have the advantage of a game in hand over NPV. Meanwhile Wednesfield Wolves join the top group, with a win and a draw taking them into third place. Goals from Jon Brown (2), Jake Pain (2) and Luke Bird gave Wednesfield a 5 – 0 win over Wolverhampton DC Panthers, and then a goaless draw against Ashbourne Raiders Olympic was enough to move them up to third spot, 3 points behind NPV with a game in hand. | ||||
| West Division - Just as in the South Division, the race for honours is really hotting up. Leaders Warstones Wanderers North didn’t have again, giving rivals Willenhall Town Colts and Wednesfield Colts the chance to take over at the top. At the start of the day Willenhall were second only on goal difference, but their four points obviously took them clear into the top spot. A goaless draw against Coven Colts was followed up with a 4 – 0 victory over Image Wheels, with Cameron Moore performing the best scoring feat of the season so far by scoring ALL the goals. Well done to Cameron. Meanwhile Wednesfield Colts jumped into second place, just a point behind Willenhall, by picking up all six points from their two matches. An excellent 4 – 1 victory over Image Wheels with goals from Matthew Hough (2), Callum Wood (2) was followed up with a top notch performance against Wednesfield Colts. Callum Wood (3), Brandon Purcell (3), Jack Worth (2), Callum Terry, Nyle Barnard, Matthew Hough, and Jordan Pilkington were on target. | ||||
| East Division - Is there any stopping Willenhall Town Reds? Before today’s matches they sat almost comfortably at the top of the league, with six wins out of six and not a single goal conceded and 35 scored. By the end of play today they had eight wins out of eight, still no goals conceded while adding another 17 to their already impressive total. With an 8 – 0 win over Wolverhampton DC Pumas followed by a 9 – 0 win over Coven United Pumas, they are starting to look invincible. Over the two matches Charlie Hemmings knocked in 5 goals, Luke Smith got 3, Dushannon Deans, Jack Wooldridge and Aaron Adams got 2 each, with Callum Johnson and Lewis Cooper also on target. But while Reds may have been the highest scorers of the day, close rivals Perton and Codsall were also keeping up the pressure with two wins. Jack Kriskinans and Thomas Smith scored in a 2 – 1 victory over another of the chasing group Smethwick Sikh Temple, and followed that up with a 3 – 0 win over All Saints Juniors, Jack adding to more to his total, with the other goal coming from Suraj Kataria. | ||||
| Smethwick made up for their earlier defeat with a 2 – 1 defeat of Wolverhampton DC Pumas, but the team coming up from behind are FC Perton, whose two victories, 5 – 1 against Coven Pumas and 1 – 0 against Finchfield Tigers saw the move up to fourth in the table, with games in hand. David Edwards (3), Adam Bealey, Ricardo Samuels and Adam Bealey were on target in first game, with Ricardo Samuels again on target in the second to add to his impressive total. | ||||

| South Division - On a day with only two fixtures being played in this division there was a chance for the mid-placed teams to make some headway on the leaders – the top three not having any matches. Ashbourne Raiders Olympic played in both matches, running out 3 – 0 winners against Warstones Wanderers Lions, the team immediately above them in fourth place. Jayden McCalla hit the net twice, and Adam Nightingale added another. They followed this up with a 6 – 0 win over Wolverhampton DC Panthers, where Jayden, William Wright and Connor Talbot all hit a brace each, The result took Ashbourne up into third spot, although they have now played several more games than the teams around them. | ||||
| West Division - The day started with a top–of–the–table clash between Willenhall Town Colts and Wednesfield Town Colts. Wednesfield were a point behind, but took an early lead and it became an uphill struggle for Willenhall, as the opposition added two more to run out 3 – 0 winners and take over at the top. The goals came from Brandon Purcell(2) and Matthew Hough took the team to the top of the table – a lead which they then consolidated with a return match, although this was a much closer match, reflected in the 1 – 0 score line. The two defeats for Willenhall also left things open for Warstones Wanderers North, who picked up all six points from their two matches. Goals from Malachi Morgan (2), Jacob Rees- Crumpton and Hussain Raza saw them to a 4 – 1 victory over Ashbourne Raiders, for whom Josh Massey scored, and they followed this result with 4 – 0 victory over Dudley Town. Jordan Bastable (2), Malachi Morgan, Hussain Raza were the scorers. So it’s all change at the top, as Willenhall are replaced by Wednesfield, but Warstones moved up into second place. Prestwood | ||||
| Rangers had a good day as they moved up the table following back-to-back wins over FC Perton Pumas. Inderjit Singh Grewal, Adam Callum, Darian W- Smith scored in a 3 – 1 win in the first game, with Sam Edge (3) and Jordan Pettit on target in the follow-up victory | ||||
| East Division - Well, the story just goes on and on for Willenhall Town Reds. Two more matches, two more wins and no goals conceded again. This week the victims were Smethwick Sikh Temple who put up a good fight in both matches against the Reds and managed to hold them to just two 4 – 0 victories. Charlie Hemmings continued his impressive scoring with two goals in each match; Jack Wooldridge got a brace in the first and one in the second match, with Callum Johnson also on the score sheet. Closest rivals Perton and Codsall knocked in four without reply against Warstones Wanderers Wolves, the goals coming from Harrison Guest, Thomas Brooks, Nicholas Cox and Thomas Smith, but were then held to a 1 – 1 draw following an excellent performance from Wolverhampton DC Pumas. John Paskin scored for Pumas, while Thomas Smith was on target for P and C. FC Perton closed the gap on Smethwick Sikh Temple to just 1 point for third place with a 2 – 0 win over All Saints Juniors, which was revenge as All Saints had beaten them earlier in the day by 3 goals to 1 | ||||
| Liam Evans hit a hat trick for All Saints, with Ricardo Samuels getting the solitary reply, but in the second game Ricardo and David Evans took revenge, without reply. These results leave things very tight in mid table, with the third place, and premiership football, up for grabs. | ||||

| South Division - Two interesting matches today brought a top-of-the-table clash between leaders Finchfield Colts and second-placed New Park Village. At the same time Coopers Casuals were playing Wolverhampton DC Panthers to see who would be picking up the first points of the season. Only goal difference separated Finchfield and NPV at the start of the day, and with both teams winning their opening matches, that remained the same going into their clash. It also remained the same afterwards, as in the end they had to settle for a 1 – 1 draw. Deandre Gardner opened the scoring midway through the second half after a period of NPV pressure, but a few minutes later a counter attack by Finchfield saw Sam Astley score the equaliser. Meanwhile the two teams without a point were battling it out on the adjoining pitch, and the game between Coopers Casuals and Wolverhampton DC looked like ending in a draw and both teams earning their first point. Unfortunately for Coopers it was not to be, as a Jack Richards goal five minutes from time saw Panthers take all the points. | ||||
| Earlier in the Deandre Gardner had knocked in a brace against Panthers, as NPV ran out 3 – 1 winners. Murteza Hoxia got the third, with Besmia Bordiqi getting Panthers’ reply. A hat trick from Charles Beseriyei had seen Finchfield run out 3 – 1 winners against Wednesfield Wolves, for whom Jack Pain was on target. Wolves went on | ||||
| West Division - This is probably the tightest of all the divisions, and today saw second placed Warstones Wanderers North playing Willenhall Colts, the team immediately below them, followed by league leaders Wednesfield Colts. In the first match it was Willenhall who came out on top with a 2 – 1 victory. Cameron Moore and Edward Maybury were on target, with Marcus Nicholson scoring for Warstones. However, Warstones came back in their match against leaders Wednesfield, Jordan Bastable scoring the only goal of the game. Wednesfield remain top by virtue of a 4 – 0 win over Dudley Town, with Matthew Hough and Jamie Mintern each netting twice. Warstones may have beaten the league leaders, but drop a place to third as Willenhall also ran out 2 -0 winners against Prestwood Rangers, with two more goals from Cameron Moore adding to his impressive total. But the top three teams are pulling away, and must all be favourites for a place in the Premier Division after Christmas. Lower down the table FC Perton Pumas moved off the bottom with a 2 – 1 win over Image | ||||
| Wheels,–Daniel Hindle getting both goals with Brandon Kelsey replying. Coven Colts took four points from their games to move level with Image Wheels into a safe place in mid-table. | ||||
| East Division - Things became really interesting in the East Division on a day of surprise results and a netful of goals. The first session of matches saw the invincible Willenhall Reds continue their run with a 10 – 0 victory over Warstones Wanderers Wolves, with two hat tricks from Jack Wooldridge and Charlie Hemmings, and further goals from Brett Holyhead (2), Dushanan Deans and Callum Johnson. These brought the Reds to 70 for the season from11 matches, and no goals scored against. A truly remarkable record !!!!! But then came the party poopers, as All Saints Juniors, firmly anchored in mid table but fresh from a 4 – 0 win over Coven United Pumas did the unthinkable – and held the Reds to a goaless draw !!!!!! Liam Evans, Harry Carthy, Tyler Thomas and Jordan McKintosh were all on target for All Saints in the game against Coven. Second placed Perton and Codsall had a day off, but the chase for third and fourth places certainly heated up. Third placed Smethwick Sikh Temple had a close-fought 2 – 1 win over Finchfield Tigers, with two goals from Karanjeet | ||||
| Thaindi, but then managed to hit the nest 9 times in a resounding win over Warstones Wanderers Wolves, where the scorers were Gavindeep Sunder with a magnificent 4, Karanjeet Thaindi with a hat trick, and Karamrhys Clair (2) Although they didn’t quite match the number of goals, it was an equally good day for fourth-placed FC Perton. A 3 – 1 win over Wolverhampton DC Pumas was f9llowed up with the same scoreline against Finchfield Tigers. David Edwards and Adam Beagry were on target in the first match, with Lewis Beardsmore getting Pumas’ goal, while Ricardo Samuels (2) David Edwards scored in the second match, with the reply coming from Sanjeet Dhillon. These results leave Sikh Temple and Perton in 3rd and 4th places respectively, but Perton have a game in hand – so that third spot and a Premiership place are still wide open. | ||||

| East Division - CONGRATULATIONS to WILLENHALL TOWN REDS. They secured the East Division Championship with two matches left to play after yet two more victories without conceding a goal. A tough match against second-placed Perton and Codsall saw them run out 2 – 0 winners, with Charlie Hemmings and Brett Holyhead on target, and this was followed by a 9 – 0 win over Wolverhampton DC Pumas. Charlie Hemmings got another hat trick, with Dushannon Deansm Brad Coward, Brett Holyhead, Callum Johnson and Jack Wooldridge also on target. So yet another week goes by and no one has scored a goal all season against them. What a record!!!!! However the other two automatic places are still up for grabs. Perton and Codsall only managed a point from their match against third-placed Smethwick Sikh Temple, with Joel Jaworski scoring for P and C and Clair Karmrhys for Temple. But Temple themselves had also only managed a 1 – 1 draw with fourth placed FC Perton, who the jumped in to third place with an 8 – 0 win over Warstones Wanderers Wolves. David Edwards (3), Ricardo Samuels (3), Mitchell Vickers (2) were Perton’s scorers, and the team now moves 1 point | ||||
| ahead of Temple, and they also have a game in hand. So it will all go down to the last week, and maybe even that one match that has yet to be arranged. It was also a day of celebration for Coven United who recorded their first win of the season, beating Wolverhampton DC Pumas 4-1 and to complete a memorable day they followed that up with a 3-2 victory over Finchfield Tigers, who had beaten Warstones Wanderers Wolves 4-0 earlier in the day. | ||||
| South Division - As the Autumn season draws to a close the battle for the top spots continues, and everything going down to the last week of the season. This is the smallest of the divisions, so only the top two teams are guaranteed premiership places in the Spring League. Finchfield Colts continue to hold top spot after two wins. Two goals from Tom Jones and one from Mark Giles saw then to victory over Warstones Wanderers Wolves, and they followed this up with an 8 – 0 win over Coopers Casuals, with Sam Astley (2), Charles Besenyei (3),Tom Baker, Tom Jones and Luke Jones on target. New Park Village are just holding on to second place after going down 1 – 2 to Wednesfield Wolves. Ricky Arblaster and Jake Pain scored for Wednesfield, with Deandre Gardner getting the NPV goal. The result brought Wednesfield within one point of NPV, and they have a game in hand, and the positions remained the same after NPV had a 4 – 0 victory over Warstones Lions, with a Rowan Davies hat trick and one from Deandre Gardner, while Wednesfield ran out 2 – 0 winners over | ||||
| Ashbourne Raiders Olympic – both goals coming from Jake Pain. So while Finchfield need only a point from their last two games to guarantee that premiership place, second spot will not be decided till the very last match next week – when Wednesfield Wolves play New Park Village – a “must win” for both teams !!!!!! | ||||
| West Division - In the West Division the top three places are already decided, but the final positions will go down to the last day of the league next week. Wednesfield Colts and Willenhall Town Colts occupied the top two spots at the start of the day, with Warstones North only a point behind second placed Willenhall and just three points behind the leaders. But with the top two winning both their matches and Warstones dropping points, the gap widened, although Warstones are still in with a shout – even if it’s got to be a very loud one. Willenhall ran out 6 – 0 winners against Ashbourne Raiders, with Cameron Moore hitting three with the others coming from Kieron Matthews, Ryan Leddington and Joseph Matthews. Then Joe Stanley and Edward Maybury were on target as Willenhall ran out 2 – 0 winners against Image Wheels. But this wasn’t enough for them to close the gap on the leaders, as Wednesfield ran out 4 – 0 winners against FC Perton Pumas with Callum Wood (2), Nyle Barnard, Brandon Purcell on target. This was followed by the result of the day as they went on to a 10 – 1 victory | ||||
| victory over Ashbourne Raiders where the scorers were Callum Wood (3), Brandon Purcell (2), Matthew Hough (2), Kalem Bates (2) and Nyle Bernard, with Luke Mitchell getting Ashbourne’s goal. So once again, it will be going to the final week’s fixtures to settle the final placings. | ||||

| South Division - The last week of the Autumn league saw all the issues resolved, even though there is one match left to play and congratulations go to Finchfield Colts, who are crowned Divisional Champions with a match still left to play. Two goals from Sam Astley and one from Charles Besenyei in their match against Warstones Wanderers Lions confirmed their position at the head of the table. Colts have led the league for most of the season, and their success is well deserved. However runners-up spot was much closer, with second-placed New Park Village just one point ahead of Wednesfield Wolves, who had a game in hand against ……… New Park Village. Wednesfield’s first match against Wolverhampton DC Panthers saw them run out 3 – 0 winners. Goals from Rickie Arblaster, Ryan Haynes and Jake Pain moved them into second spot, meaning that NPV had to win to take runners-up spot. It wasn’t to be, as Wolves won by the only goal of the match scored by Lee Jeavons, so Wednesfield Wolves are confirmed as runners-up, with third spot going to New Park Village. | ||||
| West Division - Wednesfield Colts confirmed themselves as worthy champions of the West Division by taking 6 points from their two games and thus putting themselves in an unassailable position. Calum Bates (2), Jamie Mintern, Nyle Bernard and Callum Terry were on target in their 5 – 0 win over Image Wheels, which they then followed up with an 8 – 1 win over FC Perton Pumas, with Brandon Purcell (3), Calem Bates (2), Jordan Pilkington, Matthew Hough, and Callum Terry hitting the net. Daniel Hindley scored Pumas’ reply. Second-placed Willenhall Town Colts were the only other team with a realistic chance of overtaking Wednesfield, and did their best with two victories. A good 6 – 0 win over Perton Pumas, with goals from Cameron Moore(3), Edward Maybury(2) and . Joe Stanley was followed by a much closer result against Coven United Colts, with Willenhall running out 2 – 1 winners. Marcus Tigh-Jones and Kieron Matthews were on target, with James Ireson replying for Coven. It wasn’t enough so they settle for runners-up spot. Third-placed Warstones Wanderers | ||||
| North also won both their matches, following up a 3 – 1 win over Prestwood Rangers, with a hat trick from Keiron Marshall with a 4 – 1 victory over Image Wheels. Hussain Raza, Jabril Brown-Hartley, Malachi Morgan, Jordan Bastable were on target. | ||||
| East Division - Well last week we congratulated Willenhall Town Reds on their tremendous success in winning the division, only dropping two points and conceding no goals – although today they actually did concede their only goal in their last game, when Jordan Jones netted for Coven. Apart from that it was business as usual, as the ran out 5 – 0 winners over FC Perton with goals from Charlie Hemmings (3), Brett Holyhead and Jack Wooldridge and then followed this up with a 4 – 1 victory over Coven United Pumas, and this time Charlie Hemmings went one better than his hat trick, scoring all Willenhall’s goals. This brought his total for the Autumn League season to a massive 33 goals in 16 games. Well done, Charlie – we think that’s something of a record. A special mention too to the Reds keeper Lewis James, just one goal conceded throughout the whole autumn league campaign is also a tremendous achievement. The race for runner-up spot was between three teams, with third placed FC Perton in the driving seat as they had a match in hand over their two closest rivals, Perton | ||||
| and Codsall and Smethwick Sikh Temple. But while Perton were losing to Willenhall Reds, their rivals were both winning, as P and C beat 4 – 0 with goals from Thomas Smith(2), Nicholas Cox and Matthew Willetts and Sikh Temple were running out 2 – 0 winners over Wolverhampton DC Pumas, the goals coning from Karmrhys Clair and Gavindeep Sunder. The same two players then scored two more each as Perton’s day turned from bad to worse as they went down 5 – 0 for the second time in the day. Karamjeet Thandi got Temple’s other goal. Meanwhile Perton and Codsall fought out a goalless draw with All Saints – and that point gave them runners-up spot by a single point from Temple while FC Perton dropped down to a final fourth position. | ||||

| With the Autumn League season virtually finished, and all the issues resolved, it was time for the first of the cup competitions – the Kath Evans League Cup. And there were quite a few surprises along with a few tears. Star performance of the day was Coven United Pumas, who had finished bottom but one of their Autumn division and will be playing in Division Two in the Spring League. They opened the day with a 3 – 0 first round win over Warstones Wanderers Wolves, thanks to two goals from Alex Tudor and one from Jordan Jones and then ran out 2 – 1 winners against FC Perton in a match that could have gone either way. Meanwhile, Coven were getting their other team through to the last eight with the Colts opening up with a 3 – 0 victory over Wolverhampton DC Pumas courtesy of a brace from John-Pierre Jones and a strike from William Campbell Summers, and then a tense penalty shoot-out against Dudley Town saw them through to a well-earned place in the last eight. However a bigger shock was awaiting Willenhall Town Reds who went out on another penalty shoot-out to Smethwick | ||||
| Sikh Temple. Although having most of the play, they could not get past Temples’s defence, and the final score after extra time was 0 – 0. And so on to that shoot out, which started with a miss by Smethwick and a goal for Reds. However, Smethwick stayed firm, and in the end ran out 3 – 2 winners. The largest crowd of the day, at least a hundred adults, watched a pulsating match between Ashbourne Raiders and Wolverhampton DC Pumas. Both teams managed three goals apiece, and the dreaded penalty shoot-out saw Pumas go through to the next round This was tough on Ashbourne who had played their part in a really entertaining match. However, Pumas fell at the next hurdle against the other Ashbourne team, the Raiders, who ran out 4 – 0 winners to secure a place in the last eight. Willenhall Town Colts progressed to a quarter final place withy victories over two of the Warstones teams. A 2 – 0 win over Warstones north in their first round match was followed by a 1 – 0 2in over Lions a little later in the day. The final two teams through to the quarter finals were teams who had had a bye in | ||||
| the first round. Prestwood Rangers ran out 2 – 0 winners against All Saints Juniors and Wednesfield Wolves secured a 1 – 0 win against Perton and Codsall to complete the final placings in the quarter finals next week. The end-result of all the day’s efforts was that of eight teams playing in the quarter finals only four are from the Premier League – the first time ever this has happened. | ||||

| The much-delayed final fixtures of the Autumn season took place, with the quarter and semi-finals of the league cup, and a few outstanding league fixtures. For the first time ever, half the teams in the quarter finals were from outside the Premier Division, but as luck would have it they were all drawn against Premier League Opposition. Pride of place for the day must go to Wednesfield Colts who ran out 6–0 winners in their first match of the day against Coven United Pumas from Division 2. Hat trick hero was Callum Wood, with a brace from Jack Worth and Matthew Hough also contributing one. Ashbourne Raiders Olympic put up a good show against higher division opposition in Smethwick Sikh Temple, but in the end Smethwick were too strong for them and ran out 2 – 0 winners, with goals from Karmrhys Clair and Jordan Harrison. This brought together two premiership teams to battle it out for a place in the final, with Wednesfield Colts playing Smethwick. After a fairly equal opening few minutes, Wednesfield started to take control of the game, and once their first goal had gone in a few Smethwick | ||||
| heads seemed to drop, and in the end two goals from Callum wood, and one each from Matthew Hough, Jamie Mintern and Jack Worth saw Wednesfield through to a place in the final at Bilston Town. In the other half of the draw it was again the Premier League teams who triumphed. Joseph Matthews hit the back of the net twice as Willenhall Town Colts ran out 2–0 winners against Coven United Colts from the First Division, while a similar score line saw Wednesfield Town Wolves go through to the semis with a win over Prestwood Rangers. Jon Brown scored for Wednesfield, with an own goal doubling the score. With Wednesfield Colts through to the Final, it was a matter of “wait and see” if the other Wednesfield team would be their opponents, as their half of the draw had been seriously delayed. Wednesfield Wolves against Willenhall Colts was always going to be a close game, but more spice was added to the match as BOTH goalkeepers are coached by Willenhall manager Andy Catchpole !!!!! In the end neither keeper had to pick the ball out of the net as after extra time the match | ||||
| was still goalless, and so went to a dramatic penalty shoot-out. Willenhall won by just the odd goal, and so now we look forward to a cracking final between two great sporting rivals. The League fixtures saw two good victories in the East Division for Finchfield Tigers – starting with a 7–1 victory over Warstones Wolves. Sanjeet Dhillon was the star of the day with four goals, the others coming from Dan Tibbetts (2) and Christopher Ryan. They followed this up with a 1–0 win over Wolverhampton DC Pumas, the goal coming from Christopher Ryan. Unfortunately, for all their efforts, they finished in the same place in the league as at the start of the day. Mitchell Vickers (2), David Edwards and Adam Bealey were on target for FC Perton as they finished off their season with a 4–0 win over Warstones Wolves, while in the South Division Finchfield Colts finished 3–0 winners against Wolverhampton DC Panthers, with Sam Astley and Luke Jones on target. | ||||

| A much awaited return to football after the breaks for Christmas and the weather saw the new Spring Leagues play the first rounds of the Scott Lloyd Charity Cup, with a place in each of the three divisional finals being the reward. First off was the Second Division Cup. Coopers Casuals put up a brave fight against Coven United Pumas, but two goals from Jordan Jones and one each from Alex Tudor, Ciaran Brackenridge and George Huntbatch saw them through to the semi-finals. And a meeting with FC Perton Pumas, who had won a close game against Dudley Town 2 – 1, with James Burrows and Jordan Dowen on target. That semi final clash was a pulsating 7 goal affair, with Perton just going through by the odd goal. Jordan Dowen again scored twice, with two more from Joshua Bicknell. So FC Perton Pumas will contest the final against Wolverhampton DC Pumas. Pumas fought out an incredibly close game against their fellow DC team – Panthers. Goals from John Paskin and Lewis Beardsmore saw them through, with Panthers reply coming from a Tyler Cartwright effort. This took Pumas through to a match against Warstones Wanderers Wolves, who had been awarded a bye. Pumas ran out | ||||
| 5 – 2 winners, with a John Paskin hat trick, and goals from Ryan Griffiths and Lewis Beards. So the Second Division Cup final will be FC Perton Pumas versus Wolverhampton DC Pumas. | ||||
| The First Division Charity Cup saw Image Wheels score a late goal by Bailey Nock to take them to victory against Prestwood Rangers, while Ashbourne Raiders Olympic set themselves up for a semi final spot with a victory over Coven United Pumas. Jayden McCalla, Liam Powell and Jowl Peterkin were the marksmen for Ashbourne. They continued their winning ways in the semi final against Image Wheels, running out 2–0 winners – Jayden again on target along with William Wright. In the other half of the draw there were no goals even after extra time in the match between Finchfield Tigers and All Saints, and the dreaded penalty shoot-out took place, with Finchfield emerging the victors, with a semi final spot against Warstones Wanderers Lions, who emerged from their match against FC Perton as winners with a goal from Harvey Webb. The semi final went Finchfield’s way, with a 3 – 0 win with goals from Chris Mainwaring, Chris Ryan and Phillip Moore. So the First Division Final will be between Ashbourne Raiders Olympic and Finchfield Tigers. | ||||
| The closest matches were to be found in the Premier Division, although Finchfield Colts had a fairly decisive 4–0 win over Smethwick Sikh Temple, with two goals from Charles Besenyei, Mark Giles and an own goal. Jon Brown of Wednesfield Wolves scored the only goal in the very close match with Warstones Wanderers North, but the other two matches both went to penalty shoot-outs after both ending in 1–1 draws. The exciting finale to the New Park Village v Perton and Codsall saw an outstanding piece of goalkeeping from P and C’s Daniel Fadien, and with the shoot-out going to sudden death, he then stepped up and scored the winning goal. Meanwhile the curse of the penalty shoot-outs once again hit Willenhall Town Reds. Already out of the League Cup on penalties, it was a repeat performance against Finchfield Town Colts. Wednesfield Town Colts were too good for Willenhall Town Colts, and booked themselves a semi final spot, with two goals from Callum Wood and one from Matthew Hough in a 3–0 victory. The same scorers with the same tally each then saw them through to a | ||||
| place in the final after victory over Perton and Codsall, but they won’t know who their opponents are until next week’s match between Wednesfield Wolves and Finchfield Colts. | ||||

| in the Scott Lloyd Premier
Division Charity Cup, with Wednesfield Wolves and Finchfield FC Colts
fighting it out for a place in the Cup Final. The match was very evenly
fought, but when Wednesfield were denied a penalty, the match ended in a goal
less draw and the dreaded penalty shoot-out. The result saw Finchfield clinch
their place in the final, winning the shoot-out 3 – 2. Premier Division - The division got off to a flying start, with plenty of goals around. Two hat trick heroes emerged, as Warstones Wanderers ran out 4 – 1 winners against Perton and Codsall East and Wednesfield Wolves, making up for their cup defeat, hit four without reply, also against Perton and Codsall. Jordan Bastable was the hat trick scorer for Warstones, with Malachi Morgan popping in the other one, while for Wednesfield it was Edward Maybury, with the other being scored by Kieron Matthews. These weren’t the only teams to score four, as Callum Wood (2), Nyle Bernard and Callum Terry were on target Wednesfield Colts against New Park Village. In the match between the two teams from the same club, Willenhall Town Reds emerged 2 – 0 winners |
||||
| over Willenhall Town Colts,
with the prolific Charlie Hemmings scoring both goals. Finchfield Colts,
fresh from their cup win, beat Wednesfield Colts by a similar score line,
with goals from Mark Giles and Liam McCormick, and yet again the same score
line saw Warstones North with their second win of the day, with Jason
Bastable adding two more to his earlier hat trick. First Division - Highlight of the First Division fixtures was Prestwood Rangers against FC Perton. The teams shared the goals and the points in a pulsating 4 – 4 draw, with all Prestwood’s goals coming from Sam Edge, while Perton shared them out between Adam Bealey, Matthew Dickenson, Mitchell Vickers and David Edwards. Most successful team of the day was Coven United Colts, with a 3- 0 win over Finchfield Tigers – goals from Charlie Mickleworth, Gregory Shinton and Daniel Farr, followed by a 2 – 0 win over Warstones Lions. Kieron Hollingsworth and Callum McCulliffe were on target this time. Liam Evans of All Saints Juniors scored the only goal of the game in their victory over Prestwood, while FC Perton’s Mitchell Vickers and Ryan Hardin saw them |
||||
| to victory over Warstones
Lions, for whom Alex Birch was on target. Second Division - Only FC Perton Pumas got off to a 100% start, with a Jordan Bowen brace and one from Joseph Bicknell giving them a 3 – 0 win over Coven United Pumas. Perton followed this up with another 3 – 0 win, this time over Coopers Casuals. Daniel Hindley, Jordan Bowen and Joseph Bicknell were on target. Wolverhampton DC Panthers played their opening fixture against the Pumas team from their own club, with Pumas’ John Paskin scoring the only goal of the game. Panthers bounced back from that defeat to record a 3 – 0 win over Warstones Wolves, with Jack Simcox, Kieron Herbert and Besmir Bardiqui on target. Warstones had earlier recorded an opening-match victory over Ashbourne, with gage Naylor scoring the only goal. This certainly looks like being a close division if the opening day’s results are anything to go by. |

| Premier Division - It was all change in the Premier Division after Week 2 of the Spring League. Table-topping Warstones Wanderers North, the only team in the division with maximum points, lost both their games and found themselves slipping to a mid-table position, while second-placed Willenhall Town Reds took maximum points from their two matches and sit proudly at the top of the table. Charlie Hemmings, the Autumn League top scorer was back on form, scoring once in the 3 – 0 victory over Wednesfield Wolves and then twice in the 5 – 1 victory over Perton and Codsall United East. Jack Wooldridge and Aaron Adams were also on target in the first game, while Dushannon Deans matched Charlie’s two in the second, and Aaron again netted. Wednesfield Colts also recorded two victories to move into second place. Callum Wood hit a brace and one from Matthew Hough gave them a 3 – 1 over Warstones North, and Callum Terry, Matthew Hough, Jamie Mintern and Kalem Betts were on target in the 4 – 1 win over Smethwick Sikh Temple. Looks like the Colts want to share the scoring around !!!!! | ||||
| Meanwhile a fine 4 – 2 win by Perton and Codsall over New Park Village saw them move off the bottom of the table, with two goals from Ricardo Samuels and one each from Harrison Guest and Thomas Smith. NPV themselves picked up their first point of the season after a goal less draw with Finchfield Colts. Colts themselves had come out 3 – 2 victors over Smethwick Sikh Temple. Sam Astley got two and Liam McCormack one, with Karanjit Thandi and Jordan Harrison on target for Smethwick in what was their opening match of the Spring League. | ||||
| First Division - This certainly looks like a very tight division at this early stage in the season, with nearly every team winning at least one game and losing or drawing the other. League Leaders Coven Colts fought out a goalless draw with Ashbourne Olympic while second-placed FC Perton did the same with All Saints Juniors. Jayden McCalla, Adam Nightingale and Joel Peterkin were all on target as Ashbourne went on to a 3 – 0 win over All Saints, Charlie Mackleworth hit two and Jon Pierre Jones one as Coven also ran out 3 – 0 winners over Warstones North, and Mitchell Vickers hit the only two goals of the game as FC Perton beat Image Wheels. Warstones Lions picked up their first points of the season in a 2 – 1 win over Prestwood Rangers, with goals from Shoaib Malik and Rhys Owen, but Prestwood went on to record the biggest win of the day with a 4 – 1 win over Finchfield Tigers. Sam Edge hit a hat trick, with Michael Magee getting the other. So it may be close, but everyone now has points on the board. | ||||
| Second Division - In the Second Division the early pace makers are Perton Pumas, who have now won all their games so far. Daniel Hindley scored twice in the 2 – 0 win over Perton and Codsall West, and netted in the second game, along with Jordan Dowen, in a similar score line victory over Warstones Wolves. With second-placed Wolverhampton DC pumas not playing, it was up to their club mates from Wolverhampton DC Panthers to keep up the pressure, and they looked like doing it with a 6 – 2 win over Warstones Wolves. Besmir Bardiqui hit a hat trick, Jack Richards a brace and Jack Simcox popped in the odd goal. Unfortunately the euphoria didn’t last, as they then went down 4 – 1 to Coven Pumas, whose scorers were Harry Potter with two, Jordan Jones and George Huntbatch. Jordan Jones and Alex Tudor had scored in Coven’s 2 – 0 win over Coopers Casuals, so they move well up the table. But Coopers had played well to hold Coven for much of the game, and went on to earn their first point of the season when Liam Noble scored in a 1 – 1 draw with Ashbourne Raiders, for whom | ||||
| Luke Mitchell was on target. These are the two youngest and least experienced teams in the league, but have shown a great spirit since they started playing last September. Well done lads. | ||||

| Premier Division - Willenhall Town Reds extended their lead at the top of the table with two more victories, while the challenging group dropped points. The Reds started the day with Dushannon Deans scoring the only goal in the game against close rivals Finchfield Colts, but then they went on to romp to a 5 – 1 victory over Smethwick Sikh Temple. Callum Johnson (3), Brett Holyhead, and Dushannon Deans were all on target, with Smethwick’s reply coming from Jared Kallah. Earlier Jared hit a brace as Smethwick earned a 2 – 2 draw against Wednesfield Colts, whose goals came from Matthew Hough. Wednesfield Wolves were the other 100% teams today, as their two victories, both by 2 goals to 1, saw them move up to join the chasing group. Goals by Jon Brown and Jake Payne secured victory over Perton and Codsall, whose only goal came from Thomas Smith, and this was followed by goals from Jake and Lee Jeavons against New Park Village, whose reply came from Khaellem Russel. Smethwick’s earned them their first point of the season, so now every team in every division | ||||
| has at least one point under
its belt. Division 1 - Coven United maintained their place at the top of the division with a 6 – 2 victory over Prestwood Rangers. Jon Pierre Jones was the hat-trick hero, with the other goals coming from Kieran Hollingsworth, Charlie Mackleworth and James Ireson. Unfortunately Coven couldn’t maintain the momentum, as they went down 1 – 2 to a rapidly improving Image Wheels, who had Joshua Howell and Neil Williams on target. Second placed FC Perton were held to draws in both their matches against Image Wheels and All Saints Juniors. This allowed Ashbourne Olympic Raiders to go second on goal difference, following a 7 – 0 victory over Prestwood with a hat trick from Ben Taylor and a brace each from Jayden McCalla and Joel Peterkin. Ashbourne had earlier played out a 1 – 1 draw with Warstones Wanderers Lions, and this was the only goal they have conceded in six matches so far in the league. Division 2 - With clear League leaders FC Perton Pumas having a day off, it was a chance for the chasing group |
||||
| to close the gap. Closest rivals Coven Pumas ran out 3 – o winners against Warstones Wanderers Wolves, with the goals coming from Jordan Jones, Alex Tudor and Kyle Roberts. Losing their momentum, they then fought out a goalless draw against an improving Codsall and Perton West. But the danger teams for all the others must be Wolverhampton DC Pumas, who won both their games, and have matches in hand. John Paskin scored twice as they ran out 2 – 1 winners against Coopers Casuals, and then again, along with Joseph Dallow and Lewis Beardsmore in the 3 – 1 win over Ashbourne Raiders. This moves them up to third, with two games in hand over second-placed Coven. Club mates Wolverhampton DC Panthers started the day with a good 4 – 1 win over Ashbourne, with goals from Jack Richards (2) and Kieron Herbert (2), but couldn’t maintain the momentum that would have put them third as they went down 5 – 0 to Dudley Town. Dudley’s goals from Tyler Shaw (2), Keiran Baddams, Joshua Godwin and Scott Flavell were their first of the season, and the win moves them off the | ||||
| bottom of the table – but they had only played one game before today. Could they be the team to watch ???? Coopers Casuals picked up another point in their 1 – 1 draw with Warstones Wolves, Jordan Banks was on target for Coopers, while Warstones scorer was Ranjandeep Sidhu. Coopers couldn’t score before Christmas, but now have 3 goals in their last 3 games. | ||||

| Rain proved the biggest winner over the two weeks, as on both dates all the Premier League matches had to be cancelled, while only the First Division played on the 4th before the weather forced the cancellation of all the other games. On February 25th Coven Colts managed to retain their position at the top of the league, despite going down 3–0 to Image Wheels. Anton Rickards got a hat trick for Wheels, although their next game saw them go down 0–2 to title challengers Ashbourne Raiders Olympic. Ashbourne had already beaten Prestwood Rangers 4–0, with goals from Joel Peterkin (2), Jayden McCalla and Adam Nightingale, and the Ben Taylor got a brace against Image Wheels. The wins lifted them to second place, but only on goal difference, behind Coven. FC Perton missed the chance to join them on 16 points when they went down 1–2 to Finchfield Tigers, although they ran out 2–1 winners against Warstones Wanderers Lions. David Edwards scored all the goals in both matches for Perton. Rhys Evans scored for Warstones. So going into the matches on March 4th only goal | ||||
| difference separated Coven and Ashbourne, as they faced each other, and it was Ashbourne who came out on top, with Ben Taylor scoring the only goal of the game. With both teams winning their second matches of the day, it is Ashbourne who now sit at the top of the table. Jordan McCalla, Ben Taylor, Adam Nightingale and Joel Peterkin were on target as Ashbourne ran out 4–2 winners against Finchfield, for who Chris Ryan scored a brace, and Coven beat FC Perton 2–1, with Jon Pierre Jones and Daniel Farr scoring, and the reply coming from Ryan Harpin. The result enabled Coven to hold on to second spot, as Perton had already won their first match 4–0 against Prestwood. Two goals from David Edwards and one each from Mitchell Vickers and Jake Sharma saw Perton through. Warstones Lions and All Saints Juniors have each had a very up-and-down season, but they met each other and it was Warstones who ran out 3–0 winners, with goals from Dray Shepherd, Luke Mason and Jordan Turner. Both had lost their earlier matches, with All Saints going down 0–2 to Image | ||||

| Premier Division - On a day of shock results, the Premier Division table takes on a very different view from the one at the start of the day. League leaders Willenhall Town Reds opened their day facing New Park Village from near the foot of the table, but the leaders couldn’t find the net, and Village held out for a goal less draw. Reds then went on to face Warstones Wanderers North, and a goal from Brad Coward was not enough to land them three points, with Warstones forcing 1 – 1 draw with a Jordan Bastable goal. This left the door open for second-placed Wednesfield Colts to take advantage, and they did so with a resounding 5 – 1 win over Warstones North, in which Callum Terry and Callum Wood each scored twice along with Matthew Hough. They followed this up with a 2 – 0 win against Willenhall Colts with Callum Wood again on target twice. The two victories now see Wednesfield Colts on top of the table, a point ahead of Willenhall Reds. These teams have now opened up a gap between themselves and third placed Wednesfield Wolves, who could only pick up a point from their two | ||||
| matches. A 1 – 1 draw with
Smethwick Sikh Temple, was followed by a 3 - 0 defeat to Perton and Codsall
East, for whom Ricardo Samuels scored twice, along with Thomas Smith.
Meanwhile Smethwick, bottom of the table before today, went on to beat New
Park Village 3 – 2, with 2 goals from Jordan Harrison and one from Karanjeet
Thaindi. Deandre Dardner got both goals for Village. Second Division - FC Perton Pumas and Coven United Pumas continue to dominate the Second Division, and the gap between these two and the rest widened even further after they both won both of their matches. Daniel Hindley was the goalscoring star for Perton, hitting four of their five goals against Wolverhampton DC Pumas. Jordan Dowen scored the other, while Michael Haynes hit DC’s only reply. Perton then followed this up with a 2 – 1 win over Wolverhampton DC Panthers. Goals from Joseph Bicknell and Daniel Hindley saw them through. Jack Richards replied for Panthers. Meanwhile second –placed Coven were not letting the one point gap get any wider, as they ran out 2 – 1 winners against Warstones Wanderers Wolves, with goals from Jordan Jones |
||||
| and Kyle Roberts, and they followed this up with Ciaron Brackenridge, Alex Tudor and Harry Potter giving them a 3 – 0 victory over Wolverhampton DC Pumas. With DC Pumas losing both their games to the top two teams, it is now Dudley Town who go into third place after they also notched up two victories. Kieron Baddams was the scorer in a 1 – 0 win over Wolverhampton DC pumas, but Dudley followed this up with 4 – 0 victory over Warstones Wolves. Tyler Shaw and Scott Flavell both scored a brace as Dudley, bottom of the table a few weeks ago, now go into third place. | ||||

| Premier Division - It was all change at the top of the Premier League, with Willenhall Town Reds regaining the leading spot after two victories, while closest challengers and leaders at the start of the day Wednesfield Colts had a free week. Reds took advantage of the situation with Callum Johnson and Luke Smith on target in 2 – 0 win over Perton and Codsall , and following it up with a 3 – 0 win over New Park Village. Charlie Hemmings scored twice along with a goal from Luke Smith. Third placed Finchfield Colts, with matches in hand on the teams above them, also had the chance to close the gap, especially after a 2 – 0 win over New Park Village where Mark Thomas and Thomas Jones scored. But they couldn’t maintain the momentum, going down to a 0 – 1 defeat against Warstones Wanderers North, for whom Jordan Bastable was on target. Match of the day in terms of goals was a thrilling 4 – 4 draw between Smethwick Sikh Temple and Perton and Codsall East. Karmrhys Clair (2), Karanjeet Thaindi and Gavindeep Sunder all hit the back of the net for Smethwick, while on | ||||
| target for Perton and Codsall were Thomas Smith (2), Ricardo Samuels and Matthew Willetts. | ||||
| First Division - Congratulations to Ashbourne Raiders Olympic, who have won the First Division Championship after taking four points from their two final games of the season. A 3 – 1 win in their first match of the day against FC Perton assured them of the championship. Goals from Will Wright, Adam Nightingale and Liam Powell saw them through. Perton’s reply came from Connor Bainbridge. Ashbourne followed this victory with a 1 – 1 draw against Warstones Wanderers Lions, but by then the league had been decided. Second-placed Coven United needed two victories AND Ashbourne to lose both their games to overtake them, so although they managed to win their first game 2 – 0 against All Saints Juniors with goals from Daniel Farr and James Ireson, a goalless draw against the same team meant that they will probably finish as runners-up. The only team who can snatch that away from them is Image Wheels, who took maximum points from their two games. 1 – 0 wins against Finchfield Tigers (Neil Williams on target) and Prestwood (Bradley Morrison scoring) saw them close the gap, and they are three points behind Coven with a match in hand. Unfortunately for Image Wheels they will have to | ||||
| win their last game by double-figures to take second spot. | ||||
| Second Division - This is the closest of all the divisions, with four teams in contention for honours, and no clear favourite to choose from. George Huntbatch, Jordan Jones and Alex Tudor saw leaders Coven United Pumas through to a 3 – 1 victory over Ashbourne Raiders, but FC Perton, with two games in hand and only two points behind, had the chance to take over at the top. But a 2 – 0 defeat at the hands of Wolverhampton DC Pumas, with goals from John Paskin and Lewis Beardsmore, served to widen the gap, while Dudley Town, in third place, crept closer with a 3 – 1 win over Coopers Casuals. Joshua Godwin, Regan Whitehouse and Scott Flavell scored Dudley’s goals, and they move into second place, above Perton on goal-difference and with a match in hand. But the team to watch is Perton and Codsall West, who won both their matches today. Daniel Slyde and Joel Jaworski were on target against Warstones Wanderers Wolves, while Nicholas Cox and Jack Kriskinans scored against Ashbourne Raiders, both matches without reply. These results mean that Perton and Codsall stay fourth, three points behind Dudley Town and FC Perton and eight points behind leaders Coven. BUT they have four games in hand on the leaders, 1 game in hand on Dudley and two games in hand on Perton. It certainly is all to play for in this division !!!!!! | ||||

| Premier Division - Undoubtedly the match of the day was between league leaders Willenhall Town Reds and second-placed Wednesfield Colts. Reds started the day five points ahead, but Colts had two games in hand, so needed a victory to close the gap, while victory for Reds would have placed them in an almost unassailable position. In the end victory went the Colts team, with two first half goals from Callum Wood and Kalem Betts, and the gap closed to just two points, with Colts still having those two games in hand. After the other matches in the division the positions remain virtually unchanged. Fourth-placed Willenhall Town Colts closed the gap on the team above them, Finchfield Colts, with a 1 – 0 win over New Park Village. Edward Maybury was on target, as he and Kieran Matthews had been in the earlier 2 – 2 draw against Wednesfield Wolves, who had Jack Pain hitting a brace. Gavin Sunder, Karamrhys Clair, Karanjeet Thandi scored for Smethwick Sikh Temple in a 3 – 2 over Warstones Wanderers North, who had goals from Hussain Raza and Jordan Bastable. It was unfortunate | ||||
| for Warstones, who got nothing from a game they had dominated, and the Smethwick manager, Mal Bhaia, in great sporting spirit, offered his condolences at the end of the game. | ||||
| First Division - Image Wheels completed their season with a 6 – 0 win over Prestwood Rangers. Alexander Barrett (2), Joseph Leonard (2), Bradley Morrison, Anton Rickards guaranteed them third spot in the division on goal difference from Coven United Colts, now guaranteed the runners-up trophy. Fourth spot goes to Finchfield Tigers, who finished their season on a high after 3 -1 victory over All Saints Juniors, and 2 – 0 win against Warstones Lions. Liam Astbury, Jason Castree and Cavan Walters scored in the first match, with Gavan and Chris Ryan on target in the second. | ||||
| Second Division - Dudley Town took two steps closer to taking the league title with two victories that take them top of the table, with a match in hand over their two closest rivals. In the first match of the day they ran out 2 – 0 winners over Coopers Casuals, with goals from Regan Whitehouse and Scott Flavell. This was followed by a top-of-the table clash with FC Perton Pumas, with both teams starting the match level on points. Dudley ran out 4 – 2 winners, with a hat trick from Scott Flavell and one from Regan Whitehouse. Daniel Hindley scored twice for Perton, but the result saw Dudley go top of the table. Perton are still in with a shout, after two goals from Jordan Dowen and one from Joseph Bicknell saw them to a 3 – 0 win over Ashbourne Raiders. League leaders Coven United Pumas did not play, and drop to second place, but with the top teams still having three or four matches to play, the league still remains wide open. | ||||

| Premier Division - The Premier Division race is down to just two teams, as Willenhall Reds and Wednesfield Colts surge away at the top of the table, but the final order is still not decided as we head into the last week of fixtures. Wednesfield had two games in hand on the Reds, who had a two point lead, and today was the day they played catch-up as the Willenhall boys had a free week. Colts took full advantage, racing away to an 8-0 victory over Perton and Codsall East. A hat trick each from Callum Wood and Jack Worth and goals from Callum Terry and Brandon Purcell did a lot to add to Wednesfield’s goal difference, which improved further with a 2–0 victory over New Park Village. Goals from Callum Terry and Matthew Hough sealed the win, although Village played really well, and must have wondered why they didn’t come away with something from the game. But Colts two victories put them well in the driving seat in the league, four points clear at the top, with both teams having two games left to play. Meanwhile Willenhall Town Colts took over third spot in the division with two victories. Kieran | ||||
| Matthews was on target in their 1–0 win over third placed Finchfield, and this was followed by a 2–0 win over Smethwick Sikh Temple, with goals from Kieran Matthews and Cameron Moore, as Finchfield were held to a goalless draw by Wednesfield Wolves. It all looks set up for an exciting finish to the Premier season over the next two Sundays. | ||||
| Second Division - Dudley Town maintained their position at the top of the table, starting the day with a 3–0 victory over closest rivals Coven United Pumas. Goals from Scott Flavell (2) and Tyler Shaw saw them through, and widened the gap between the two teams, who still have to play each other again. Kieron Baddams and Regan Whitehouse continued the winning streak for Dudley as they ran out 2–0 winners against Ashbourne Raiders. Coven though weren’t giving up, and a tremendous four magical goals from Harry Potter saw them return to winning ways. But the performances of the day came from FC Perton Pumas, who had a 7–0 win against Coopers Casuals, with two more hat trick heroes in Daniel Hindley and Jordan Dowen, with Lee Hodgson also chipping in. This was followed by a 3–1 victory over Wolverhampton Development Panthers, with Joseph Bicknell (2) and Daniel Hindley on target. Jack Richards pulled one back for Panthers. But the team to watch out for is Perton and Codsall West, who played on Saturday and Sunday, taking maximum points from their three games. A 1–0 win over Perton Pumas on Saturday, was followed up by a 2–0 win against Ashbourne | ||||
| Raiders and a 3–0 win against Wolverhampton Development Pumas. Jack Bishop hit a brace in the first match, and one in the second, along with Jack Kriskinans and Nicholas Cox. The weekend wins see Perton and Codsall move up to second in the table, with Coven dropping down to fourth. Dudley Town hold a six point lead at the top with one game to play, while P and C have a game in hand !!!!! | ||||
